Title: Female driver caught speeding, child in the car

On Friday, October 10th at 2:22 p.m. an officer from the Nottawasaga OPP was on general patrol on Tottenham Road south of County Road 1 in the Township of New Tecumseth, when a silver Honda Civic was observed to be travelling at a high rate of speed.
The officer determined the vehicle was travelling at 151 KPH in a posted 80 KPH zone. That is 71 KM over the posted speed limit. The 38 year old female driver of Alliston was charged with Stunt Driving, her drivers license was automatically suspended for 7 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
This driver had a child occupant and was found to be speeding on Tottenham Road just south of the fatal collision that had occurred only two hours prior.
Nottawasaga OPP want to inform drivers to slow down. There are many travelling on our roadways so please slow down, focus and drive defensively.
