As a result 22 year old Glenn Newans of Shelburne was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation and Over 80 Operation of a Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused had almost 3 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he provided his breath samples.
As with all impaired charges, Newans vehicle was impounded for 7 days and his drivers instantly suspended for 90 days.
