Midget LL2 win 6–0 in Penetang

Shelburne’s Midget LL2 had a major win against the Penetang Flames, one of the top teams on Saturday, November 22nd at the opponents home arena. A slow start in period one with both teams defending well, but Shelburne had the upper hand with Brandon Long taking the initiative to score the 1st goal assisted by Justin Bennet and Jared Moore. Passing and teamwork kept Penetang at bay as the Midgets had control of the puck, and confidence in each other’s skill worked well as Shelburne pulled together strong and carried the puck constantly to the opponents net. Period 2 brought their second goal from Jared Moore, assisted by Brandon Long and Dylan Dever.
Penetang were slacking in period 3 and the game finished smoothly with a shut out for Goal tender Joe Woollett who has shown great improvement in this hockey season and who was happy to celebrate the win with his team mates. The final four goals in period 3 were by Dylan Dever assisted by Justin Besley, Kyle Burke assisted by Jared Moore and Rhett Fleming, Kyle Burke unassisted and Nick Loucks assisted by Brand Long.
