Some folks in this immediate area are still without power; what a good reason to light that fire and have one or two of our new books on hand. THIS SATURDAY: November 29-Silent Auction and Book Sale This might be one of our best ever!! We have so many wonderful items: A lovely rag quilt, a unique wooden folding stepstool, gorgeous gift baskets… a lovely one from Granny Taught Us How, original paintings, special baked goods and so much more. There will be a not to be missed book sale as we have so many books here and an unbelievably beautiful selection of books that will be part of our book baskets. FOOD FOR FINES month of December Bring in all your overdue books and for a donation of non-perishable food items or toys and we will “forgive” your fines. We will then, donate the food to the Food Bank and help some needy families have a healthy meal. Children's Programs: Friday, December 19th, 10:30 a.m. will be the last Children's Story time for this year. Renovations are continuing on our new Children's space and we are excited about all the new books, other materials, and new technologies. There will be lots of surprises when we open that area in the New Year! Christmas Crafts: Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. Join us for a fun Christmas craft for children ages 5 and up. We will ask for a nominal cost recovery fee of $2to ensure your child's place. Pizza & Pages, Teen Book Club- Thursday, November 27 at 6 p.m. Pizza and lots of lively discussion about this month's selection,the graphic novel, Witch and Wizard by James Patterson, Gabrielle Charbonnet, and Svetlana Chimakova. Afterwards, we will try our hand at creating our own Manga. So drop by for the discussion, the pizza, the drawing, or to pick up next month's selection, The Thought of High Windows by Lynne Kosisky. Rose's Book Club – Thurs., Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. Oh my gosh, so many new books. Hard to choose which one to start with first. NEW BOOKS We have many of our new fall and winter books arriving daily.
