Dear editor:
2014 has been a successful year for Headwaters Arts. Thank you to everyone from our volunteers to sponsors, partners and members.
Among our accomplishments:
• The first anniversary of our new Gallery, a labour of love to exhibit the wonderful art of our members led by our of 2014 Gallery Chairs, John Ashbourne, Darlene Hassall and Margi Taylor.
• Our award winning Festival at the SGI Centre chaired by Anne-Marie Warburton presented the works of over 45 artists including the new show of Club Art. Not to mention the break dancing efforts of David Nairn.
• The Scholarship program awarded $4,500 to emerging artists to continue their career development at post-secondary institutions.
• The always fantastic Author’s Night at the Festival organized by Nancy Frater that sold out in 10 days.
We look forward to an exciting series of events for 2015 that will continue to expand on our successes and make the Hills of Headwaters the place to experience and enjoy the Arts.
