Last broom ball game of the year

During the Shelburne Ladies Broom Ball League vs Alliston in the league's last game for 2014, Lesa Peat, goalie for Shelburne's, Roy's Chicks, ended on a high note with a shut-out, 2–0 for Shelburne.
The league has been up and running for over 25 years, consists of four ladies teams and is surprising a full contact sport.
The Shelburne League travels to the hamlet of Keady, placing three teams every year in their annual tournament.
“The league is a travelling league, and one of our players plays for the world team,” Peat explained, “Lindsay Sinclair, born and raised in Shelburne plays for the world team and has been to Austria and Italy so far. Hopefully this sport will become an Olympic Sport this year.”
Peat has been running the league for 24 years, mentioning, “Also thanks go out to our Referee, Kyle Fleming and Time Keeper, Brodie Best.”
Ending the year on a charitable note, all broom ball players brought in donations to later be delivered to the Shelburne & District Fire Department's Toy and Food Drive.
