Spring Clothing SwapDear editor: A ‘Spring Clothing Swap' will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 10 a.m. in Singhampton. It is that time of the year… time to shed! For those that are new to the whole swap thang, I host an annual spring and autumn clothing swap. As the season changes it is a great opportunity to go through your clothes, as you pull out the lighter wares and put away some of the heavier ones, and purge. It is a great feeling to practice the art of letting go! Let go of the clothes that no longer fit, that don't light you up anymore, that you have never worn, that clutter your drawers, etc. Your hand offs will be someone else's new favs! And let's add accessories to the mix (like gently worn shoes, handbags, jewelry, scarves and unopened health products). Since it's Mother's Day weekend, feel free to invite your mom or another fabulous woman to join us. Or if need be bring your kids along. Unable to join us but want to share your hand-me-overs? Drop off at my place or a possible pick up at yours. What happens with the clothes no one takes? We bag them up and take them either to Paws n' Claws in Shelburne, ‘Sally Ann' in Collngwood and/or to the migrant workers in the Clarksburg area.
