Calling All Soccer Moms!

May 21, 2015   ·   0 Comments

Calling all soccer moms in particular, and everybody out there who appreciates theatre that’s relatable to their own lives.
Secrets of a Soccer Mom by Kathleen Clark provides some funny, some empathetic – but all highly relatable – insights into the lifestyles of three women who reluctantly take the field in a mothers vs. sons soccer game. They intend to let the children win, but as the game unfolds they become intent on scoring. The competition ignites a fierce desire to recapture their youthful good-humour, independence and sexiness, paving the way toward a better understanding of themselves, their families and the changes they need to make in their lives.
Josh Oatman makes his directing debut in community theatre with Secrets of a Soccer Mom on the June 12th to 14th weekend when this year’s Tipling Stage Company’s exciting community theatre season in Shelburne comes to an end. This one may be coming to an end but next season’s brochure – featuring another selection of plays that you definitely won’t want to miss – will be available shortly!
Performances are June 12th and 13th at 8 p.m. and June 13th and 14th at 2 p.m. at Grace Tipling Hall and tickets are available from Caravaggio IDA, Holmes Appliances and Music Shop, Shelburne Town Hall and online at www.tiplingstagecompany.com.
