Summer Programs
TD Summer Reading Program – starting July 4, 2015
Join us for the Shelburne Public Library TD Adventure Park for this summer’s TD Summer Reading Program. There’ll be lots of fun, lots of games and play and lots of reading and incentives as we ramp up the theme: Play. For ages up to 12, registration is now open in the Children’s Library.
Teen Scene
As we look forward to summer there are many new and exciting teen-centred events planned at the Library, but we need to hear from YOU to know the best time to host our events during the summer! Come into the Library to fill out our survey regarding timing and also the type of events in which you would like to participate! Registration will help us have the appropriate number of supplies for each event.
We will be running an online summer reading program, and the launch party will be hosted on June 25th, from 6–7:30 p.m. at the Library, so bring a friend! Weekly challenges and prizes issued, and for each challenge completed, your name will be entered into a draw for the grand prize!
Other planned events include a live whodunit game, spa-inspired projects, and a wreck-this-journal session, among others!
The Teen Scene Club meets the first 3 Thursdays of the month from 6–7:30 p.m. to create unique and trendy crafts. All materials are provided, and once again you can call the Library or come in to register so we can accurately purchase the amount of supplies required.
One of the features of the Teen program will be an ongoing summer reading club… stay tuned for more details as we work on the program and activities.
Library Literary Event: June 28th at 2 p.m. – British Home Children in Canada
An ongoing event reminder: I know this is a topic of great interest and look forward to seeing you all there. Tickets are free, but it helps with our planning to know how many folks are coming. Call 519 925-2168.
