The last regular stated meeting of Normac Chapter #311, under the leadership of Gwen and Norman Acheson was held on June 9 in this the Legacy Year of Grand Chapter.
General Grand Chapter Committee Member and PGM, Sister Jeannie Lee on Education was welcomed as was our own PGP Arnold Townsend. Evelyn Helmich DDGM and the visiting Patron from Parkhill along with the Grand Representative, Past District Deputy Grand Matrons, Past Matrons and Patrons, visitors and members not previously introduced were all welcomed by Gwen and Norman.
The year-end reports were given by the various committees. The Worthy Matron’s Special Project this year were the three local Food Banks, Grand Valley, Shelburne and Dundalk, and $400 was given to each. Another project of Gwen’s was the Legacy Basket and all monies going to Grand Chapter General Fund in recognition of the 100th birthday of Grand Chapter. Monies realized were $109.
Gifts on behalf of the Officers and the Past Matron were presented by Lenora Banfield and Colleen Wood to Gwen and Norman Acheson.
Great fellowship followed with the monthly draw and the Legacy Basket draw added lots of entertainment.
Lunch was provided by the Dundalk group under the leadership of Jean Oldfield.
