RIDE program results in drug charges

Shelburne Police officers were conducting an R.I.D.E. program during the late evening hours on Friday June 26th when a red Ford Mustang entered the check stop.
Based on suspicions and evidence the officer observed while speaking with the driver, the officer launched a roadside drug possession investigation. This resulted in the driver being arrested for possession of marijuana and seven grams of marijuana seized.
The driver, 20 year old Tamara Scott of Shelburne was charged with Possession of Marijuana under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. The accused was released on an appearance notice with a court date in late July.
