New beginning for health and wellness in Shelburne

There will soon be a new beginning for health and wellness in Shelburne as the talent at Soaring Heart Wellness merges with the talent from One Energy Centre to form a joint venture. “The new partnership will cover every aspect of health and wellness,” says Jodi Jones of One Energy Centre.

Well established as a place of warmth and welcoming centred on health and wellness, Soaring Hearts Wellness at 116 Main Street in Shelburne is owned by Ellen Brakel and Joey Lemieux. The store will now merge with One Energy Centre partners Jodi Jones and Nicole Sheridan. The two companies combined expand the range of services offered at the Main Street location and strengthen their ability to fulfill the needs of local patrons.

“Two strong teams are coming together,” says Ellen Brakel, “both Jodi and Joey are on the BIA, so we know how to work together. We want to help the town to be a better place and be here for the health of the people. It is a vision that includes creativity, health and wellness, and job creation.”

Jodi Jones says the establishment “will cover all the modalities for the mind, body and spirit.” They will continue with all services including acupuncture, registered massage therapy, cranial sacral therapy, reiki, laser therapy, reflexology, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, and much more. The store front will continue to supply wellness supplements, herbs, health food products, fresh organic fruit and vegetables, teas, coffee and smoothies as always.

Classes and workshops in such disciplines as yoga, meditation, zumba and tai chi will continue to be offered and the store will be renovated to accommodate for additional treatment rooms and studio space. Along with the four partners there will be seven additional practitioners working out of the space.

“Collectively,” says Jones, “our objective is to create a space where people can come from all over to start or continue their journey of awakening.” She notes that “Shelburne is a hub for many surrounding communities and going through rapid growth bringing many new customs and traditions – we hope that our business serves everyone from all walks of life. Our goal will be to have as many tools available for those who are curious, those who are struggling with their health, and those who know what they are doing, but need more support.”

The partnership is running a contest to have the united space named. Submission ideas may be sent to jodijones@rogers.com by August 1st. The contest winner will receive three free services of their choice at a value of approximately $300.
