Stunt driver also breaches bail


On Wednesday, September 9th, at 8:45 p.m., members of Nottawasaga OPP were patrolling County Road 27, in New Tecumseth, when the officer observed an erratic driver operating a Mercedes Benz. The officer obtained a radar reading of 133 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone as the vehicle continued to travel through Essa Township. The vehicle was stopped in the village of Thornton, where 25 year old David Edwards of Orangeville was arrested and charged with stunt driving and fail to comply with a recognizance. In addition to being held for a bail hearing, Edwards' licence and vehicle were seized for seven days.
