Come fish for a part!

Audition for one of the great roles in Norm Foster's The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby on November 11th at 7 p.m. Grace Tipling Hall, Shelburne.
A pompous investment banker's car breaks down and he gets stuck in the sleepy town of Kooshog Lake during its annual Fishing Derby – an event to which people come from miles around to catch a fish that has been eluding capture for over twenty years. While the locals would really would like to send the unwelcome visitor on his way, a fuel pump needs to be ordered in so he is invited to take part in the fishing derby. Not exactly his thing, you think... but this is a Norm Foster comedy so he learns a whole lot more than just how to fish.
Directed by Jean Jardine Miller.
Two men and three women will be cast: Sienna Grey – middle-aged store owner; James Bell – pompous, stranded investment banker, 40s; Rhonda Borkowski – over-sexed local, any age; Kirk Douglas – wise, old local 60+; Melanie Morningside – vulnerable young local, late 20s-30s.
Rehearsals will run Sundays and Thursdays (some Wednesdays, if necessary) November 22nd to February 11th, plus tech week.
Performances are 8 p.m. February 19th, 20th, 26th & 27th and 2 p.m. February 21st.
