During the week of November 8th to November 15th, officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the OPP conducted 13 R.I.D.E. spot checks at various locations within the detachments area.
Charges and Suspensions:
• 13 Approved Screening Device Tests (Drivers who consumed alcohol but breath samples were less than 50 mgs)
•3 Three-Day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspensions
• 1 Impaired Operation/Over 80 arrests from the R.I.D.E. program.
Impaired/Over 80/Refuse or Fail to Provide Sample Arrests made during the above-mentioned week:
• On November 8th, Janene Braaksma, age 37, from the Township of East Garafraxa was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mg of Alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
