An employee inside the building was monitoring security cameras when he spotted five suspects actively attempting to break into the building.
The employee’s presence scared the suspects off, but his excellent description of the getaway vehicle led responding officers to arrest them nearby. Five men have been charged with Break & Enter, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Break In Tools and Disguise with Intent: a 37 year old Barrie, ON male; a 33 year old Barrie, ON male; a 34 year old Shelburne, ON male; a 29 year old North Bay, ON male; and a 31 year old from Jarrett, ON.
The accused were held in custody for a bail hearing on Monday January 4th in Barrie.
