Norm Foster’s The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby was on set and ready to open this week at Grace Tipling. The cast, which includes (left to right) Darrick Rosborough portraying James Bell, Michelle Graham who plays Sienna, Paul Welch as Kirk Douglas, Kelly McDowell as Rhonda Borkowski, and Sohayla Smith as Melanie Morningside, was on stage for dress rehearsal February 15.

Director Jean Jardine Miller says the play is so funny that “everyone is laughing while rehearsing.”

The comedy by Foster, one of Canada’s most popular and prolific playwrights, will open the Stage Company’s 2016 season in Shelburne this Friday, February 18.

Tickets for The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby are on sale at Holmes Appliances and Music Shop on Main Street, Shelburne, Shelburne IDA and Shelburne Town Hall (519-925-2600). Tickets are also available online at www.tiplingstagecompany.com.

Evening shows begin at 8 p.m. on February 19, 20, 26, and 27 with one matinee only February 21 at 2 p.m. Tickets are also available at the door.

Casting and set both look great and Norm Foster’s shows are known to be crowd pleasers.
