The Shelburne and District Fair Annual General Meeting saw the election of many new board members, as well as the re-election of several key positions from 2015.

The board sends its congratulations to, and many thanks for the hard work and dedication of the 2016 Shelburne and District Fair Board pictured here (top left): Earl Smith (Past President), Ken Galbraith, Pauline Lennox (Treasurer), Patti Hossie, Murray Crawford, Dawn Van Kampen, Chris Wallace, Larry Braiden (VP), Sue Peterson (Secretary), Bruce Peterson (President), Kimberly Evans, Nicole Smith, Amanda Peterson, Lindsay Wegener (Home Craft President), Jason Yarwood (2nd VP), Donna Allen, Althea Casamento, Cheryl Devlin-Blasioli, and Meghan Mills.

The Board is busy planning for the 149th Fair with a theme of “Country Roots and Rubber Boots”, and invites the community to share “ideas or suggestions.”

They are also working to “enhance and expand” the existing sponsorship program and “build confidence within the community.”

The deadline for Fair Book sponsorship submissions is March 21 and the Board encourages business owners, farmers, residents, artisans, community and service groups, Council members, and stakeholders to get involved this year and “help us drive toward our 150th anniversary in 2017.”

Interested vendors and sponsors should contact Karren Wallace: karrenwallace@sympatico.ca.

Sponsors can direct their sponsorship or donations to the Shelburne and District Fair in general or directly to any of the entry categories, events or entertainment.
