Shelburne Farmers’ Market prepares for opening Day

The Opening Day of Shelburne Farmers Market 2016 is next week.

The market opens Thursday, May 26, from 3 – 7 p.m. at First Avenue West, in front of Trinity United Church at the corner of Owen Sound Street.

For opening day excitement, the market presents Troupe Adore and Country 105.

“This season, we have an excellent variety of local farmers, prepared food vendors and artisans with 23 vendors and a lineup of local musicians and many other special event,” says Market Manager Joey Lemiueux. “The second season on First Avenue West will be a weekly event not to miss. From the world's largest ice winery, fine local meats, prepared barbeque to a variety of fresh greens the market will offer a festive feel with a local flare. Join us this Thursday, May 26 at 3 p.m., and each week at this time to stock up on the finest local foods and crafts.”

Shelburne Farmers Market 2016 Vendors include:

Farm Vendors:  Besley Country Market Ltd, Black Willow Farm, Connie's Kitchen & Fresh Produce, Escarpment Foods, Landman Gardens and Bakery, Leitch's Honey, Levendale Farms Maple Grove Farm, Organic Gardens Farm, Pillitteri Estates Winery, Triple H Farm and Woodfield Farm.

Prepared Food Vendors: Dainty Bites, Main St Cafe, Santa Maria, Shine Baking Co, Speers Quality Meats & More, and Walters Pierogies.

Artisan/Craft Vendors:  2nd Lines Rustic Rehab, Crafty Nanny, Mother Nature's Candles & Melts, Petals Flower Farm, Sharnettes Jewlery.

The market will run on Thursdays from May 26 to September 22.
