Another boost for the Shelburne Torch Run

May 20, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Giving back to the community – Trillium Ford is supporting the Shelburne Torch Run for the fourth year in a row. This year, the event takes place on Wednesday, June 1st (rain or shine) from Fiddle Park and is hosted by Shelburne Police Service. The 4km walk/run is not a race, but rather a community effort to support Special Olympic athletes through awareness and fund raising. Escorts from the police, fire and ambulance will be in attendance, and a school bus follows the walkers/runners for anyone who needs a break. A free barbecue takes place after the event in the No Frills parking lot, where an awards presentation will also occur. Pictured here is sales specialist, Bruce Lyon of Trillium Ford, with Shelburne Police Service Constable, Jennifer Roach. Bruce is presenting Const. Roach with a cheque for $200 in support of the event. For more information, or to register for the Shelburne Torch Run, call 519-925-3312. Donations and pledges are also welcome.
