Claire Bouzane as Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, played by Gabriela Catenaro, in The Wizard of Oz, opening this week at Grace Tipling Hall. The show, produced by LP Stage Productions, boasts a cast of 50 and is set to entertain audiences for the next two weeks, including several school tours. Impressive artwork from Centre Dufferin District High School students is featured as the backdrop to the Land of Oz, along with a moving cyclone, a spinning house, and a brilliant array of props and costumes in Munchkin Land, making for very, visually creative show. The enthusiastic cast includes a real puppy playing Toto and can be seen with youth performers as well as a cast of adult leads with Kristen Gamache as Dorothy. Both casts are directed by Danielle Gamache. The Wizard of Oz runs May 27, 28, and June 3 at 8 p.m. and May 29 and June 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling Grace Tipling Hall or by going to Eventbrite on-line Tickets range from $12 to $15 and may also be purchased at the door.
