The Headwaters Healthcare Centre Auxiliary Executive Team (Christine Hann, Caroline Beaton, Mike Carter, Tannis Sherwood, Linda Jameson, Edward Buckett, and Jim Aijala) donated $50,000 on behalf of the Auxiliary, towards the purchase of carefully selected hospital equipment at the group’s Annual General Meeting last month.

The Auxiliary presented the cheque for a CT Scanner Upgrade, a mainstay diagnostic tool that can see bone, tissue and blood vessels to help diagnose a wide array of conditions, including bone fractures, blood clots in the lungs, cancer growths, and strokes.

It is one of the busiest diagnostic tools at Headwaters’ Hospital.

The Headwaters Health Care Auxiliary is an integral part of Headwaters Health Care Centre. With approximately 240 volunteers, Auxiliary members organize fundraising events and work in many areas of the hospital like the Gift Shop, Coffee Bars, and Information Desk, in addition to escorting patients during their visits to the hospital.
