LETTER: A thank you note to the community

Wallace, Norma – The family of the late Norma Wallace wish to thank all the friends and family who supported us through this difficult time.

To our ever supportive friends, thank you for the meal between the wakes and after the funeral – thank you!

To everyone who remembered our Mother through memorial donations, floral tributes, cards, food to our homes and phone calls, it all meant so much.

To Shelburne Residence Nursing Home staff: your kindness and loving care given to our mother was incredible as you treated Mom with kindness and dignity. Lyn, Darlene, Karen, so many more became like family treating her like she was their Mother.

Rev. Darrell Wright: Thank you for your visits to serve communion it meant so much to her.

Rev. Candice Bist and Pastor Ann Harbridge: Thank you also for your visits.

Rev. David Howe: Thank you for coming to Mom’s bedside when she called. Your conversations with her were so comforting.

Thanks to Gord Horsley who became a big part of our family with all his support with our parents.

We extend a deep appreciation to Rev. David Howes and Rev. Horsley for delivering such a meaningful and comforting funeral service.

Grandson Micheal Scace: Thank you for delivering the eulogy on behalf of the grandchildren. We laughed, we cried – the many personal memories of Grandma!

Thanks, Michelle, for the idea of the Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren wearing the Blue Jays t-shirts at the wake. Grandma would have loved that and would have worn her jersey! She loved her Blue Jays!

Shelburne Legion Ladies Auxiliary: Thank you for the delicious lunch after the funeral.
