“Scare Hunger” out of Shelburne this Thanksgiving and Hallowe’en

October 7, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Scaring the hunger out of Shelburne – Trillium Ford Shelburne is collecting non-perishable food items for the local Food Bank as part of the Me to We Campaign, “We Scare Hunger”, as sponsored by Ford Canada. Donations can be dropped off at the dealership, located at 506168 Highway 89, or at the Shelburne Free Press newspaper office on Main Street at Owen Sound Street until October 31. “Our goal is to collect 1,000 pounds of food in total – or more,” said Trillium Ford Marketing Coordinator, Wendy Gabrek. “Please help us with this amazing cause. No one should go without food in our community.” Items such as nut-free school snacks, canned proteins, pasta and pasta sauce are needed most. Trillium Ford is encouraging people to promote awareness for the We Scare Hunger by event by using the hashtag, #WeScareHungerFord, and tagging @WEHQ and @trilliumford in their social media posts. Pictures can feature a donating being made, or a scene of abundance – especially as you enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend feast.
