This concert is not just for Country music fans, “but for anyone who loves good quality music with great lyrics and strong melodies” as well as some good old Shelburne style fiddle playing. A professional musician for over fifty years, Bruce Ley has composed for live theatre, film and television. He has played with some of the Country greats as a pianist for The Tommy Hunter Show and Grand Old Country in the 1970s. Joining Mr. Ley on stage at Grace Tipling Hall will be Ryan Hancock an instrumentalist from The Campfire Poets; Nathan Smith from the bluegrass band The Barrel Boys; Tom Griffith who has played bass for greats like Dan Hill; and Scott Bruyea drummer for The Campfire Poets. This is a unique opportunity to see highly skilled, career musicians performing in Shelburne's Grace Tipling Hall. Between sets, enjoy homemade cookies, fresh picked local apples and warm apple cider provided by the congregation of Primrose United Church. Grace Tipling only seats 200 and tickets will go fast. The October 30 tickets for the 3 p.m. concert can be purchased for only $12 “to give everyone a chance to be part of a lovely autumn afternoon,” say organizers. Tickets are available from Holmes Music and Appliances, Shelburne; Caravaggio IDA Drugs, Shelburne, or members of Primrose United Church, Primrose.
