Once again, the Shelburne and District Firefighters Association are collecting new unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items for this holiday season.

The campaign kicked off last Thursday and will run through the middle of December.

“Captain Mike Morell puts a lot of time and effort into this campaign, and due to his efforts last year donations touched 600 families in the area,” Fire Chief Brad Lemaich tells the Free Press. “It’s something he truly puts all his heart into.”

This year, the Shelburne Association is working in conjunction with Mulmur and Melancthon Firefighter Associations to ensure even more families can benefit from the generosity of others.

Donations can be dropped off at the Fire Hall, from November 17 until December 17 on Thursday and Friday nights from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 12 noon until 4 p.m
