Shelburne Legion News: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Winter is fast approaching and every year the Shelburne Legion and the Shelburne Fire Department work together in the annual toy and food bank drive.

To start off this great cause, we will be having a Red Friday Wing Night on December 2 with the all request DJ Rob Martine.  Please bring an unwrapped toy and or a food bank donation.  Every year the food bank receives lots of canned goods and boxed food, but unfortunately what they do not get enough of is toiletries for both genders such as tooth brushes, toilet paper, and shampoo.

And don’t forget the pets; they need to eat too.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated.  The Zone sports events have been posted at the Branch. Please take a look at the Sports board and sign up.

Our monthly breakfast will be on December 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Santa and his Elf will be at the December 16 Red Friday Wing Night followed by an Open Jam hosted by Andre Perrier aka “Peppe SOT.”

Volunteers are a very important part of the running of the branch. If you know a student that would be interested in helping out – or even yourself – please contact us at 519-925-3800.

Follow us on Facebook: Royal Canadian Legion Shelburne for all of our upcoming events.
