Arthur was the venue for last week’s local one-day Hockey Tournament on Sunday, December 11.

Shelburne’s Atom LL1 attended and played an exciting three games, with a fun-filled day for all.

The boys played hard and took a close loss in their first game against Arthur’s Team 1 of 3-2 to the opposing team.

Going on to play their second game against Arthur’s team 2, Shelburne controlled the puck throughout the game and showed off their passing skills working well under pressure.

The boys – a mixture of 10 and 11 year olds – flourished with a win of 7-0 taking them onto the finals, for consolation place.

Hamburg against Shelburne in the final game was tough one, with both teams at equal skill level.

Hamburg had the upper hand and won the day with a 1-0 score.

A great fun-filled day for all, with pizza supplied by the organizers and vendors to keep them busy in between games.

Shelburne Minor Hockey would like to thank Arthur’s Recreation Centre for a great day, and coaches would also thank the team sponsors who make this all possible.
