Produced by Troupe-Adore, and set during the height of Vaudeville, company leader Sohayla Smith says the dinner show features a romantic candlelit dinner with a five course meal and excellent musical entertainment. The show will feature Vaudeville themed performers including tap dance, the Charleston, a belly dancer, crooners, opera singers, comedy, and romance. Featured performers include local performers Monty Greig, Jason Riedel, Desmond Baxter, Danielle Marie Gamache, Darcey Baker, Claire Bouzane, Sohayla Smith and Jacob Wagstaff. Performances will include re-enactments of actual Vaudevillian performers such as Al Jolson singing Toot Toot Tootsie Goodbye; one of the first famous crooners Gene Austin; international opera singer Florence Easton singing the comedic O'Mio Babbino Caro; everyone's favourite child star Shirley Temple; as well as Charlie Chaplin, Fred Astaire, and the infamous Roxy Hart! Fine Dining by Chef Sohayla Smith includes: fresh bread & whipped blackberry honey butter; an endive "love boat" with prosciutto-wrapped arugula, fig, dried cranberry, feta, and chives, with balsamic reduction; potato bacon leek soup topped with applewood smoked cheddar, cherry tomato, and parsley garnish; spinach salad with feta, strawberry, fig, dried cranberry, red onion, radish, and balsamic dressing; prime rib with garlic mashed potato, green beans, mushrooms, red pepper, and onion, sauteed in white wine and garlic, served with horseradish, and warm Victorian skillet cornbread; strawberry white chocolate sour cherry shortcake. Audience members are invited to come in period costumes – only, if they so wish. There will be a prize for best costume. And bring your dancing shoes so you can dance the night away after dessert. Tickets are $40 each, which includes the show and meal, and are available online at: www.myvaudevillevalentine.eventbrite.com.   --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2017-02-08 14:44:43 Post date GMT: 2017-02-08 19:44:43 Post modified date: 2017-02-27 22:16:32 Post modified date GMT: 2017-02-28 03:16:32 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
