Shelburne Police Service launches annual Christmas Food & Toy Drive

You’ll see them at several locations around town accepting toys, food, and cash donations to assist those in the region.

Members of the Shelburne Police Service are once again holding their annual Christmas Food and Toy Drive.

You will see their large trailer and a police cruiser at a couple of locations over the next month.

They will be accepting perishable food items that will be donated to the Food Bank in both Shelburne and Orangeville. They had a good response when they were parked in front for the No Frills store on Saturday, November 24, with many patrons picking up extra items when they where in the store and bringing them out to fill the trailer.

They are also accepting toys Christmas. The toys will be given to Dufferin Child and Family services to be distributed during the Christmas season to deserving local youth.

Cash donations are also being accept. The cash donations will be turned into gift cards and can be used to help older youth during the holiday season.

The program will continue for the the several weeks so there is plenty of time to get involved.

The trailer will be at the Foodland parking lot this Saturday, December 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
