Shelburne’s newest entrepreneur

August 31, 2013   ·   0 Comments

Perhaps Shelburne’s youngest business owners braved the heat on one of the last weekends before school starts up again and took the opportunity to make a few dollars meeting the requirements of business’s first rule of thumb, supply and demand.

Local residents, Chayanne Bowden, and best buddy Breagh Conway, both 8, made just under ten dollars on August 24th with their first business, a lemonade stand set up on Simon St.

Although the young business women were not quite certain what they would do with their newly claimed profits, they most certainly knew what they would not be doing with it.

“We are not sharing with our brothers or sisters!” commented Bowden, sharing Conway’s opinion on the matter.

The two entrepreneurs are keeping their cards close to their chests and weren’t admitting to any of their future prospects but with zeal and initiative like theirs, it’s very likely their next business endeavour may involve the beading of bracelets.
