Title: OPP cruiser involved in collision

On January 29th at 12:33 p.m. a Dufferin County OPP cruiser was involved in collision with a Tractor Trailer.

Preliminary investigation reveals the fully marked cruiser parked with emergency lights activated was struck by a tractor trailer and pushed up against a jack knifed tractor trailer involved in previous collision.

The Dufferin OPP officer was extricated from the police vehicle by the members of the Grand Valley Fire Department and transported to Headwaters Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Dufferin EMS.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators were on scene investigating.

More details to follow as investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid at this time.
