Stolen vehicle recovered

On May 18, Nottawasaga OPP were called to a suspicious vehicle stopping on the Mono-Adjala Townline at 2:28 p.m. A Silver Mercedes stopped on the side of the road, the driver claimed that he ran out of gas and left the area, returning two hours later without gas. Police arrived on scene to investigate; the 1989 Mercedes was in fact a stolen vehicle from Collingwood, stolen earlier in the day. Charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 is 40 year old Thomas Kitchener, he was held for a bail hearing on May 19.
