Unwanted male arrested for public intoxication

On Tuesday, June 3, at 7:05 p.m., Grey County OPP received a report of an unwanted male on McDowell Street, Dundalk. The male, who was intoxicated, had attempted to enter the caller’s vehicle and then proceeded to attempt to enter the caller’s residence. The male left and returned a short time later with a beer in his hand, advising the call that he wanted to “hang out”. The male had left again, but as police arrived on scene, they observed the male returning to the complainant’s residence. Ryan Ireland, 29, of Dundalk, was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act. He was taken to the Markdale Detachment and held until sober. The complainant and the unwanted male are known to each other.
