The ‘Big’ Little’s reunion, five generations strong

July 24, 2014   ·   0 Comments

On Saturday, July 19th, five generations of Little family gathered for a unique reunion. The, great grandson of original descendants, George Little and Mary Jane Baker, Robert Little now lives in the house of his ancestors, a house where in 1894, the arrival of a new stove was just as exciting as moving into the newly built house. Noteworthy: George Little and his son, Joe, both kept diaries which have since been donated to the Dufferin County Museum. Also, a brief family history has been provided by Ron Bailey and Don Cosens.

Don Cosens, and Ron Bailey organized the Little Family reunion spanning five generations strong. In 1954, the Little’s gathered for a group photo and though not the entire family attended this reunion, Cosens guessed the family has easily grown to approximately 2000 people. One hundred and fifty Little descendants attended the reunion held on 25 Sideroad.
