Library Literary Event, Sunday, November 9, at 2 p.m.
Close to our commemoration of Remembrance Day, we are fortunate to have, Hugh Brewster coming to speak about his latest book, From Vimy to Victory. Some of you will have heard him speak before and the talk is geared for all ages. Last time we had a busload of students from Primrose Public School and they really found the presentation meaningful. This will be an excellent family and adult outing to remember our veterans.
Hugh is also the author of At Vimy Ridge, On Juno Beach and Dieppe. With photographs, remastered footage and expert commentary, he tells the story of the Canadians in World War I and brings to life the names now etched on monuments from Ypres and Vimy Ridge to the Hundred Days when Canadians were the shock troops leading the Allies to one victory after another to final victory in Mons. Suitable for all ages. Please call the library to register. 519 924-2168
