Haunted house helps food bank

Not even the extremely cold and rainy weather could deter Shane Fendley and Jeremy Little from setting up their annual haunted house at 327 Centre Street. Asking for food donations upon entering the haunted house proved to be a great idea yet again as the event raised 80 pounds of food and $40 in cash for the Shepherd's Cupboard, Shelburne's local food bank.
For over 20 years the Little family have been frightening neighborhood kids and adults alike with their exceptionally frightening haunted house. This year, nine kids and adults volunteered to make the evening the success it was. While some kids worked off their volunteer hours for school, other people including a ‘Good Witch' volunteered, making certain the little ones were not too afraid while they navigated through the darkness, shouting voices, grabbing corn husks scarecrow of the Haunted House.
“If I had it my way, I'd run a haunted house all year round,” said Little.
This Halloween approximately 300 kids came through the haunted house that took well over eight hours to set up and as the following pictures reveal, the Haunted House is frightening in the light of day! For more information, contact Jeremy Little at jrlittle1979@gmail.com
