Midget LL2 off to a good start

Local league Midget 2 bounced into the hockey season full of energy and have won 4 out of their 5 early games.
All of the players have been giving 100 per cent and are hopeful for a great season ahead. Working well together, pulling in the ranks, and using their skill and knowledge of the game, the team plans to outwit any team that faces them.
First time coach Justin Paulitski, who received certification as a coach a few weeks ago, is leading this team with vibrant enthusiasm and is certainly proving his worth as a new coach. Every game so far has been tense and unpredictable, keeping the bench staff (as well as the parents) on the edge of their seats!
Several of the team players are also playing for the high school Varsity Team and AP-ing for other Shelburne teams, but take their time with the Midget LL2 group seriously. They are battling it out on the ice working well together and when this group of youngsters get together representing Shelburne, they are full steam ahead with only one vision in mind – to enjoy what they do!
The Friday November 7th game in Midland proved to be the most thrilling yet. Period 1 held off goals to both teams, with the defencemen holding the puck away from the nets. Dylan Dever was the first to score for Shelburne in the second. He went on to score again in the same period, assisted by Justin Besley.
The final and third goal, brought by Brandon Long, secured a 3–2 win for Shelburne. Long was unassisted.
Hockey is about skill and having fun. Combined with a great bench staff – that you respect and trust – this Shelburne team has all the ingredients for success during the 2014–2015 season. We wish the team well and can't wait to see what end of season playoffs bring.
