Orangeville Community Band plays annual Remembrance Day service in Shelburne

Shelburne's Royal Canadian Legion 220 Branch was the place to be Saturday, November 8th at 7 p.m. in order to take part in the very unique and highly anticipated Orangeville Community Band's annual Remembrance Day Celebration performance. The wonderful score clearly demonstrated the very talented level of professional skill of the band that drew in a large crowd, often so moving, the music carried hearts away in the reverie of remembrance.
Established in 2007 and now under new Musical Director, Doug McIIwain, the Orangeville Community Band honoured Shelburne with their first concert of the year. The band has two more concerts coming up slated for December 6th, a free concert at the Orangeville Mall at 10:30 a.m., and their Annual Christmas Concert at New Hope Community Church on December 7th at 7 p.m. Any performance by the Orangeville Community Band will be well worth the experience as an audience member.
