Christmas at Primrose United

Area churches celebrated the season across the County with candle light carols and children's activities around nativity scenes. Primrose United Church filled their 139 year old little wooden sanctuary with family and friends to mark the joy of Christmas on December 21st. Shirley Farnell lead a carol sing and the guest choir Forever Young sang beautifully accompanied by Lorraine Gentleman, who played the piano throughout the service while Reverend David Howes accompanied on the flute. The Sunday school children, in halos, sang three songs, and Ann Kendrew read the bible passage. Seen here in the photo, Ken McGhee tells the children's story to Primrose's eager and wide eyed children. The “truly old fashioned family service” concluded with “Silent Night” by candle light followed by coffee, goodies and fellowship.
