Some came back because they weren't a good match and yet a few others were great new matches for the reader. I hope if you chose one that you did get a good one! Children's Area – Renovations and moving Peek in the door! The shelving, computer desk, and circulation desk are all in place and look great. We are still going to be “Under Construction” for about a week or so as we move our books downstairs. The non-fiction move is now complete. It is a slow process as we are also doing inventory and “weeding” some books that have either been well-loved and well read and are in poor condition or have out of date information. The “weeded” books are available to our patrons on the shelf downstairs in the lobby. A small donation is always appreciated and it will certainly be used to buy new books. One Book One Community Dufferin Reads As a group, we three Librarians from Grand Valley, Orangeville and Shelburne and Nancy and Brenda from Book Lore met and decided on the book for this coming year. The Great Reveal was held at the Dufferin County Council meeting Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m. It is Charlotte Gray's The Massey Murders. It is a great read and will appeal to many different readers. We can also announce that thanks to the great support from the Town of Shelburne, the Grand Finale will be held at Grace Tipling Hall on Sunday, May 3, 2015. More information to follow… March Break Programs We have another fantastic lineup of programs for children (and their fun-loving parents, grandparents and other caregivers) during the March Break. You will soon see ads in the paper and posters in the library and around town. Tickets will be ready for sale next week. As always, they are very affordable so that all families can participate… $3 each or 3 for $8.We are able to offer these programs to our community because the Town of Shelburne donates the use of Grace Tipling Hall. On Tuesday, March 17, at Grace Tipling Hall, we have Dufflebag Theatre – always a big hit. This time with Snow White. Wednesday, March 18, we have another ever popular animal show, Speaking of Wildlife at the Library. On Thursday, March 19, we have a musical Safari with Mystic Drumz also at Grace Tipling Hall. Watch for announcements with more details re times etc. Fiction: Desert God by Wilbur Smith A.D. 30 by Ted Dekker Gray Mountain by John Grisham The Nightingale before Christmas by Donna Andrews The love song of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce The Journey prize by various authors French pastry murder by Leslie Meier The Final recollections of Charles Dickens by Thomas Hauser The Look of love by Sarah Jio Dead but not forgotten by Charlaine Harris Fatal conceit by Robter K.
