Wolves vs Collingwood success!

The Playoffs well under way and Shelburne's Midget LL2 first play off game brings success and high morale with a 9–1 win on Monday February 9th at their home arena. Collingwood is one of the top 8 teams that the Midget's are scheduled to play as the season comes to a close with playoffs deciding the top team for this season.

The Shelburne team controlled the puck from the minute it dropped and worked a tight knit team from start to finish of this fast paced, adrenaline game of hockey. Collingwood could not get ahead, and the pressure was on, for them, with several hits on Shelburne's goal tender, but Joe Woollett was not dropping his defences, and certainly did his job in this game.

Both teams tried their hardest, but a passion for the Shelburne Wolves to win this game and team tactics with speed and perseverance, proved to be the winning formula for their win over Collingwood. The Midget's coach, Justin Pauilitski, was thrilled at the outcome and has been driven with these boys, the whole season, and being his 1st year as a coach he couldn't be happier at the way the team have performed this season.

“They all work hard at practices and get along with each other which helps when it comes to games.”

Goal scorers were Dylan Dever with 4 goals, assisted by Jared Moore, Nick Loucks and 2 assists by Rhett Fleming, Kyle Burke assisted by Liam Mc Leod, Luke Russell assisted by Dylan Dever, Porter Cavey assisted by Luke Russell, Nick Loucks assisted by Kyle Burke.

The team would like to thank their sponsors, which makes the hockey season possible.
