The Children's library is now open for circulation. The new Early Learning Stations are here and working. They sure look snazzy with their coloured keyboards and bright headphones. The whole environment is bright and cheery and we welcome children, parents, grandparents and other caregivers to enjoy this beautiful space with us. The Children's Library is open the same hours as the adult library and there will always be someone there to help and of course, to check out books. There are many folks to thank for donations, for extenuating help in making this dream become a reality. We will do this at a formal Grand Opening… a little later. March Break Programs We have another fantastic lineup of programs for children (and their fun-loving parents, grandparents and other caregivers) during the March Break. You will soon see ads in the paper and posters in the library and around town. Tickets will be ready for sale next week. As always, they are very affordable so that all families can participate…$3 each or 3 for $8. We are able to offer these programs to our community because the Town of Shelburne donates the use of Grace Tipling Hall. On Tuesday, March 17, at Grace Tipling Hall, we have Dufflebag Theatre- always a big hit. This time with Snow White. Wednesday, March 18, we have another ever popular animal show, Speaking of Wildlife at the Library. On Thursday, March 19, we have a musical Safari with Mystic Drumz also at Grace Tipling Hall. Watch for announcements with more details re times etc. Fiction: The Good life by Martina Cole Brothers in blood by Simon Scarrow Die again by Tess Gerritsen Hope to die by James Patterson Mathew's tale by Quintin Jardine If I close my eyes now by Edney Silvestri Secrets of the lighthouse by Santa Montefiore Ticket to childhood by Nguyen Nhat Anh Scorched eggs by Laura Childs Rainbows on the moon by Barbara Wood There must be some mistake by Frederick Barthelme You know who killed me by Loren D.
