Facebook helped to find Cooper

When the beloved family pet Cooper went missing Tracy Walker immediately did what any loving pet owner would do....went to the Internet.
Tracy posted that Cooper was missing several sites as well as on Helping Lost Pets which is free to use. When you list a pet as Lost or Found, their members in your area are alerted. Helping Lost Pets partners with many volunteer groups that share your listing on Facebook, Twitter and other social medial sites. In this case Lost and Found Pets of Ontario is who shared the information that quickly spread throughout Shelburne.
When a pet is lost the best steps are to immediately search the neighbourhood. Alert neighbours. Create and distribute posters and post on social media such as Facebook and include a picture if possible. Be specific as to the neighbourhood that the animal went missing in. Facebook followers tend to continually, share and monitor a post updating it with information about sightings, such as when and where the animal is spotted aiding the recovery of your pet.
Fortunately, Cooper was found, though cold and exhausted, thanks to the abundance of animal lovers linked into social media. Tracy and her family would like to thank everyone for all their help and in particular Peg Powers for the lead and Daisy Mart in Shelburne for taking Cooper in and keeping him safe until they could pick him up. Tracy says she was overwhelmed with the amount of support and is very grateful to all of the people in this area who help bring Cooper back home.
