CDDHS Royals soccer looking for first win

The Centre Dufferin District High School Royals girl's soccer team is still looking for their first win this season after taking a loss to Orangeville's Westside Secondary School Thunder on Monday (May 4).
It was the squad's third loss of the season.
The team is playing a good game, they just aren't scoring.
In Monday's game they had some good opportunities including a nice shot across the front of the goal but hit the post and it bounced back out across the goal line.
Their coach praised their effort post game with some good words about the girl's effort on the soccer pitch.
“We played really good. We need to be a little more defensive. That's what was giving the break-aways to them,” said Royals striker Chloe Horne. “We we're tough, we were aggressive, it was just those small break-aways that got us.”
Teammate Natalie Teeter agreed that the team played well, but needs to improve on some areas of play.
“We have to learn how to receive it and win the one-on-one battles. We're losing at lot on the one-on-ones,” Natalie said.
The Royals lost Monday's game 6–0 to the Thunder.
Norwell District Secondary School is currently leading the division one standings with an undefeated 3–0 record.
They are followed by Erin District High School in second place and Westside in third place.
The Royals will be back in action on Thursday, May 7, when they host Emmanuel Christian High School from Fergus on the main field at CDDHS.
Game time is 2:30 p.m.
