New kid on the block at Oasis Tanning




Unbeknown to most people there is a new kid on the block at Oasis Tanning and Esthetics. Just over a week ago Catherine Hilliard, Registered Massage Therapist, and her partner John Way took ownership of the town's only tanning salon.
When speaking with the Free Press, Catherine advised that she currently has a Massage Therapy location in Orangeville and has been there for the last five years and that opening a second location in Shelburne was a natural progression. Prior to opening her first location, Catherine was previously a massage therapist at Hockey Valley Resorts in Mono.
As the new owners, Catherine says her and John are planning to continuing providing excellent quality products and services for their clients. Currently Oasis offers services such as manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, massages and of course tanning. In the future they are planning on bringing new services to Shelburne and you will even be able to easily book any of their services online.
The past several weeks have been busy under the new ownership and Catherine noted that business is going well. All of the current staff are staying at Oasis Tanning and Esthetics, and Catherine could not praise them enough for all their help and patience with the transition.
Over the next coming months Oasis will be undergoing some renovations such as a fresh coat of paint in new colours as well as a little rearranging of the current layout. You will also see a new tanning bed being installed. When its finished it will flow and serve the clients needs much better.
Catherine says, “it's very comfortable here all the staff are amazing and everyone has been very welcoming. It's a great adventure and we are very excited.”
