Shelburne No Frills is getting a new look

John's No Frills, owned by John van Teunenbroek, is getting a face lift.
The five week long project will see the interior and exterior of the building transformed, in keeping with corporate branding.
On the outside the building, the existing white fascia will be painted in No Frills' signature yellow and red logo colours.
On the inside of the store, there are lots of changes already underway:
The store will be painted and will receive brand new fixtures throughout.
The check–out desks will be moved (closer to the entrance) and two new express desks will be added.
In produce, No Frills will be adding to its selection of pre-made salads, and the produce tables have been upgraded.
In frozen foods, the freezers have been moved along the front wall to create an “open feeling”.
In bakery, new shelves have already been added.
The pharmacy will also undergo some changes. A consultation room will be added, and there will be new procedures in place for processing prescriptions.
In grocery, only two items will change – rice cakes and miscellaneous hardware will be moving to a different aisle, otherwise your groceries will stay where you've always looked for them.
Perhaps the biggest change is the new No Frills logo. The updated graphic keeps to the original colour palate.
Of the changes in store (pardon the pun) van Teunenbroek told the Free Press, “We're already one week in to a five week renovation and there's lots happening.”
The project will be mostly funded (80 per cent) by van Teunenbroek himself. The changes required by head office will be paid for through corporate – as they are required, in keeping with brand continuity. The newer No Frills stores are already sporting the updated look.

Mind the changes, they're renovating! The exterior of the store will get a fresh coat of paint, and most of the white will be changed to yellow and red. Inside, fixtures, shelving and tables are already being updated.
