Giant Book Sale
Saturday, June 20, 2015
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In conjunction with the Heritage Festival, we will be hosting the largest book sale ever. Please pass the information on to your friends. Weather permitting, it will be held outside. In the event of rain, it will be in the KTH room. We have a large selection of books, large parts of your favourite series and much more.
Summer Programs
TD Summer Reading Program – starting July 4, 2015
Remember only 4 weeks until the launch of the TD Summer Reading Program. Be sure to sign up for a fun filled summer of reading and activities at The TD Summer Adventure Park here at the library. Registration is in the children's department. You can call us or drop in. We would love to see you.
Story Time – Friday at 10:30 a.m.
This week's theme is birds. Call the library if you would like to join us on Friday, June 19 for our father's day special day...We will be making dad a card that morning as our craft at Story Time.
Check out our new addition this year, as we present a French language program of stories, songs and crafts in conjunction with the TD summer reading program.
Paws to Read Program: Tuesdays, 4 to 5 p.m.
Come and read to Mac. This popular program allows children to read to Mac, the poodle and share their love of reading. Please sign up as spaces are very limited and they fill up quickly.
Teen Scene
Turn your creative streak loose! A fun night of painting and creative art projects that will let you experiment with paints, canvas and lots of colour. Come on out and see what you can do. Lastly, with great anticipation, our Teen Summer Reading Challenge will launch on Thursday, June 25th from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Remember how much you enjoyed the TD Summer Reading Club? Then you will LOVE this program. Call 519 925-2168 to register.
New Happenings
Books are moving this Thursday, June 11
We are literally turning the adult library around! The non-fiction has all been re-located to the west side of the library and by the end of the weekend, we should be in good shape; no more searching for the books, just follow the alphabet and the Dewey numbers and you will find all of your favourites and then a cozy seating area besides.
