The Cubs were trailing 2–0 in the fourth inning after Barrie scored in the first inning then brought in another run with a hit to deep centre field with two men on base in the third. Going into the fourth inning, the Cubs had two men on base on walks. Brad Pendleton cracked the ball for a single but the Barrie throw to second base was missed and the error bought the Cubs time to bring one base runner across home plate and advance another to third base. Another walk loaded the bases with Cubs players and a hit to left field by Rob Kinsley brought in two Mansfield runs to make it a 3-2 game. With the bases again loaded on another walk, the Angels gave up another run when four balls advanced the players around the diamond and Mansfield took a 4-2 lead. Barrie closed the gap at their next at-bat with a single run. Going into the fifth inning the Cubs luck ran out when three successive fly balls were caught for the outs. Centre fielder Kinsley had the play of the night when he made a diving effort to catch Barrie ball hit to the right side of centre for the second out of the side. The game ended with a 4–3 win for the Cubs. It was Mansfield's fifth win of the season. The Cubs finished up the week with a double header against the Bolton Dodgers on Sunday, June 21. In game one of that series, the Cubs came out on top with a 5–4 win. Game two got underway with a 5 p.m. start and the Dodgers came out on top winning 7–6. The Cubs now have a 6–4 record and sixth place standing in the North Dufferin Baseball League. The Cubs will be back at their home diamond in Mansfield on Wednesday, June 24, to host the Orangeville Giants.
