An off-duty Orangeville Police officer had reported the collision. Police detected an odour of alcohol on driver's breath. The driver refused to provide roadside sample of breath into an approved screening device and arrested for Failing to Provide Breath sample. The driver was transported to Dufferin OPP Detachment to be held until sober. As a result the investigation, the driver Bruce Scott Bond, 32 years of age of Burlington, was charged with Fail to Provide a Breath Sample contrary to Criminal Code of Canada. His license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded.
